Christian Parent Wisdom will assist you in changing your fear-based parenting paradigm to a love-based parenting paradigm. Parents who have children with difficult behaviors face unique challenges. When traditional models of parenting do not word, where do they turn? I believe that God has the answer to all our questions and challenges. When I was introduced to Bryan Post’s stress model, I quickly saw many parallels to the Bible. However, I saw Biblical truths without the reference to the Bible. I wrote this book to help parents connect Biblical truths to stress model principles. I believe that anything we do on our own will either be useless or quickly fade away. By connecting stress model principles with God’s word, lasting changes take place. Healing is facilitated and relationships are restored. Broken spirits are mended. Not because of us. Only because of who we believe in. God’s grace and the blood of Jesus works in our lives and gives us hope.

#20 – Grace
I do not allow discouragement to contaminate my relationship with my child. God’s grace provides forgiveness and freedom from anger and pain. God’s grace refreshes me.
Everything is for your sake, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 4:15.

#21 – Potential
I turn each challenge with my child into an opportunity to develop his strengths. We turn to God for understanding and guidance. We let go of limitations and release my child’s potential in Christ.
Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7.

#22 – Devoted
I know now that I am complete and whole in God. This gives me confidence to connect with my child. Together we are connected and devoted to the word of God.
While we, for our part, we will devote ourselves to prayer and to serving the word. Acts 6:4

#23 – Abundant Love
God’s love is unconditional and endless. I rely on my source to provide all that I need for my child. God’s abundant love flows through us and touches all areas of our lives.
Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As a Scripture has said, “Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37 – 38

#24 – Healing
I take time to look to the light within. I realize that all healing – physical, mental and emotional – comes from the fountain of life. God gives me what I need in all circumstances.
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. Psalm 36:9
